    GK800RB Power transformer?

Hey there. I got a Gk800Rb with the vertical power switch that died the other night. No power, fuse good. I checked the primaries with a multimeter and it shows open. I'm assuming the PT is cooked. Any leads where to find a replacement? It's the square stacked iron style not the round...

    Eden Microtour Mini Amplifier REVIEW

I've been waiting for mine to arrive since December. It showed up today and it buzzes at even the quietest setting. :( Sounds great in the headphones. I guess it's going back and I can hopefully get another...faster.

    Godin Club

I once asked my Godin artist rep who made their pickups and he said "they have a guy" Occasionally they use seymour (and it usually says it on the top of the pickup), but on one of my guitars the pickups are G&B I would assume that's who's manufacturing them to Godin's specs.

    Experience With Eden

I've been regularly gigging a WT400 since 2001. I haven't even opened the lid on it. Also have a 410XLT that I've been abusing for about as long. No problems. I did blow a couple drivers in a 210 eden once, but that was my own stupidity. There was a transition period when USM bought Eden and...

    Which coated strings

I love the Elixir steels. I've been switching all my bass (except those with flats) to them. They gave me a set to try, I put them on my #1 and a year and a half later they're still on and going strong!

Bass You Don't Play But Refuse To Sell

I almost never play my fretless L'arrivee LB-2, but it's too nice and rare to sell. (plus I don't like to sell anything!)

    which Eden head 400, 550, 800?

I've run a WT400 since 2001 with a 4ohm 410XLT. At first I used an 8ohm cab and it was way under powered. It would clip like crazy. Since switching to the 4ohm cab I've had no problems keeping up with the loudest bands. If I were you, I'd either switch cabs, or get the WT800 which ever route...

Most of the Godin employees I speak with say Go-Dang...but I think that's a French/Italian accent thing. It is actually pronounced like you were going to say go-Dang but leave the G off at the last second

Would you buy a new bass with this finish?

If it played good I'd buy it...but only if it was discounted. If you could grab a flawless one off the rack for the same price, why would you?

New Student Has ZERO Musical Knowlede. The Norm?

I teach quite a few students of all ages and experiences. Some of them have had prior experience with music in schools...recorder...ukelele Some of them don't. Everyone has to start somewhere when learning a new skill. More times than not, my new students have no experience. Explaining notes...

Dumbest thing I've ever been told at a gig. Ever.

I've got a ton of them over the years, but here's the most recent one: I'm playing a dive with a classic rock cover band and in between songs a women yells out "you guys are way better than the band that was here last night" we WERE the band from last night. We played both nights.
