Sven's tone is killer on the "Live at the Greek" album they did with Jimmy Page.

the infamous -- chain my pedals query

Yup, my OC2 is after compressor and before dirt.

Is there a small pedal that cuts out a specific low frequency? Like a thumpinator with variable freq

A few guys on here are big fans of this: HPF-Pre, updated Sept. 30, 2014 - hpftechllc

What Overdrive pedals are you using?

DOD 250 and Cochrane Timmy clone for OD. Idiotbox Blower Box for heavier distortion.

A GK 700RBii question or two

I don't know about the first question as I've never used Speakon cables for mine, but as for question two - you are correct. With the jack speaker outs you are only using the main amp and therefore only the woofer control has any effect. As the tweeter control is effectively disabled, I don't...

Touchsensitive and dynamic ODs that do NOT go farty at high settings; Which are your favorites ?

If Bass and Treble controls don't count as "tone" pots, then I haven't found anything better for OD than a Timmy. Built a bunch of different OD clones over the last year and stopped building after I finished the Timmy - it sounds great at pretty much every setting!

You favourite OD/Dist/Fuzz pedal with NO tone pot(s).

DOD 250 is good at low gain but I miss the option to roll off the tone at higher gain - goes a bit fizzy for me when you crank it.

    TC electronic polytune jacks

Mine's the same - plugs protrude maybe an eighth of an inch from the jack collar. Same with every cable I tried. At the end of the day they haven't popped out during a gig or anything so I haven't worried about it too much, but it does bother me every time I look at it closely!

Does this exist? And if not, could I build it?

What he said ^^^^. Very simple build and size dictated only by the number of jack sockets and the size of the pot used. Omitting the switch should save you enough room to make it work. I've built several into 1590A enclosures (about 93mm by 39mm) so with a bit of jiggling could be made to fit...

    Best Tuner For Bright Sunlight

TC Polytune. Played several outdoor shows this summer with no issues whatsoever. Best tuner I've ever owned in every aspect and at a very reasonable price.

    MXR Super Comp For Bass?

Someone else asked about the Super Comp vs. the Bass Comp recently. I've used both, and my comparison (FWIW) is in this thread. ANOTHER compression discussion - my experiences with MXR Compressor | TalkBass.com

ANOTHER compression discussion - my experiences with MXR Compressor

If the Super Comp is "everything you've been looking for" then why look further? The M87 isn't for everyone and the myriad of compressor threads suggests there is no one "correct" answer. Use what works for you. Compression, like dirt, is such a personal thing. It seems you prefer the sound...

ANOTHER compression discussion - my experiences with MXR Compressor

I used the Super Comp for a good while and it was fine. It did cut a little low end but nothing too drastic. It also seemed to give my tone a little brightness to the top end that was otherwise lacking. I did find it quite noisy though (I use a daisy chain PSU so YMMV). I have recently...

Favorite pick? (also, made my own) [Pictures included]

Dunlop 1mm Tortex standard shape. I punch a hole through the centre of mine with a regular paper hole punch, which adds a lot of extra grip (important when you sweat like a b@stard!)
