    Fretting Hand Technique.

    This is all good advice, but i don't think phrased my question right. I can use all my fingers very comfortably, my teacher made sure of that. The problem is when not using the pinky, it sticks out way off the fretboard (more significant then my other fingers that just hover above the strings...

    How to tell your guitar player his tone is BAD??

    He cant be that good a mate if he's gonna get all up in arms with you for telling him to change his tone. My approach would just be " I think that some of our songs need a more (insert here) tone" then he cant get all personal about it because you didn't say it was his tone directly.

    3 Finger question

    just pull out the old metronome and play with it. Once you get comfortable playing a certain speed move it up 4 points or so and then practice again. I did this about a year ago now and it worked great.
