Who's your FAVORITE Bass player?

This is a very good question because it is possible for "yourself" to be the honest answer, being the product of all your influences but again, you will also be your own worst critic and know you have considerable room to grow.
If you answer in terms of who got you where you are today?
1. The Ultimate Big Mac
2. Jack Bruce
3. Andy Fraser
4. Entwistle
5. JPJ and a splattering of individual songs from time to time.

I am really impressed every time I listen to him. I've been listening to him quite frequently lately.

I dont have an all time favourite, when not practising band songs I often put on a random CD and try to pick out some bass lines, this week I have been learning some interesting and frantic ones by Klaus Fluoride of Dead Kennedys fame, the album `fresh fruit for rotting vegetables` contains some great bass lines played at breakneck speed, I dont think he has got the credit he deserves, try playing `ill in the head` 
, his style is almost jazzy in a punky way at times IMO in that he constantly changes licks or riffs, I want to slow them down to learn !, perhaps he gets overlooked because punk has an unappealing aggressive overall sound for many people .
Another plus is that it gets me playing with a pick, my style is 90% fingers so it gives me good practice in that respect .

Geezer Butler-- So laid back .. Half the Sabbath songs he just jams.. I love his aggressive style!!
Glenn Cornick-- Lots of bluesy basslines.. Bòuree is amazing.. Or magical!
Cliff Burton-- Love all that fuzz n' wah!! And the bellbottoms. Pretty awesome player for a thrash band. The Orion interlude is what made me pick up the bass.. And the first thing I learned to play!
Matt Sharp-- The guy from Weezer's first two albums. He didn't have too many complex basslines but I LOVE his tone on the Blue Album..

It'll probably change in a few months, but currently it's Pino Pallandino, especially his work with D'Angelo.
I'd have to say me.. but only because I know me personally ..
I'm not really all that good ..
but considering that there are just waaaaayyyy too many mind blowing bassists out there for me to even begin to come close to picking a favorite or even a top 10 (bassists whose skills I will probably never come close to emulating I might add.. which is ok because I know somebody will always suck more than me somewhere and someone will always blow me out the door somewhere else so it kind of balances out..
) , I have to use some other criteria than just bass playing 
so in this case I decided to go with the personal touch.. . If look were a major factor .. then I guess Esperanza would be right up there...

Hmmmm...tough one. I'd say either Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth, Mr.Big, Talas,etc.) or Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)
