Just came across the Baby Phase today, hadn't heard of it before and there doesn't seem to be much discussion of it here. Adding it to my list to check out soon, kinda looks like it's got everything I'd want in a phaser!
I can’t look at this pedal without seeing the glaring error they made by using an “H” instead of an “N” in that typeface.
LIZARD QUEEH
kind of looks like the I is a J, too (LJZARD QUEEH?)
I am curious which of his 3 current pedal offerings are most in demand. My guess would be Doom 2 since there isn’t really an equivalent dirt pedal on the market. I guess we’ll see after the next few drops!
I don't think anyone was really comparing Spencer to Broughton, they were comparing the demand/popularity of the two companies, not the merits of the founders or the quality of the product
Makes me think of when Dan from That Pedal Show gave away his Chromatron to a front line worker during quarantine. Such an awesome thing to do but man that guy is fortunate that Dan chose that pedal to fill the filter spot on the board!
I was checking out Catalinbread’s article on the Maestro FZ-1 (Maestro FZ-1) and I thought Grady Martin might have played that double neck Bigsby on it, but cool to hear it’s a Danelectro Bass 6.
Also just checked out that B-side of his mentioned in the Catalinbread article:
EarthQuaker Terminal maybe?
The Marty Robbins fuzz was on a Bass VI, right? I figure it's probably using flatwounds so that's gonna be a factor in getting to that sound.
Bump. I've been curious about this as well, so hoping some fuzz fiends can chime in. I guess since the Maestro Fuzz was created to emulate this sound, that might be a start?
