The PV went from a good bass to a great bass when I put the flats on it.

Do report back. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

there was a set of unknown flats on there when I got it from @JLY and they grew on me but had to know what rounds were like. When I switch back, it will probably be DTF as I dig the tension. I haven’t tried your favored LTF but if they are on par with TI flats, I would still prefer the extra tension.

Literally just got one but haven't even had a chance to try it yet. Sounded good with my teacher playing it - but then most things sound a lot better in his hands.

there was one in the classifieds, I read that it was a bit hard to tame, i hated the mxr for that reason, liked the ebs bass iq, have a spectrum now but too much going on for me, so trying to sell that

Oh I feel the total opposite. Go to about 4:40 in the video. I’ve always felt it was an easy beast to tame if any taming was needed at all. Never tried the Moollon pedal though.

Nope. Andi mentioned that he always adds them to his Moollons, I believe. But you do run the minor risk of cracking the finish in the process.

Not at all.

Have em on all my basses. Moollons, Harmonys, Silvertones, Fenders.

FIRST thing that happens when I get a new bass. Period.


Call me sacrileges but I’ve never had a broken headstocks.

I got rid of all my clunky strap locks and just bought a bunch of these strap blocks. They are so cheap and you won't have to worry about changing out the strap pins

If you search on Amazon for "grolsch gaskets" you'll find a lifetime supply of strap locks for you and all of your friends for a few bucks.

I don’t think strap locks are sacrilege on moollons, but I’ve found I don’t need them on any bass any more personally. Once I stopped hanging my bass down low below my belt in my teens I’ve never had a strap get even close to popping off so haven’t considered strap locks as needed.

I think part of my straps staying on is that once they’re on, I leave them on. I own one strap per bass. It’s more money, but I never ever ever forget a strap at a gig, nor do I ever have to adjust strap length when switching basses. It’s been worth it for me. YMMV.
