I recently bought a SX 5'r fretless, and the B string is completely unplayable, has horrible tone and NO sustain, Im going to be replacing pups and controls and restring it E-C. Hopefully that will cure that problem.

I just picked up a cheap SX 5 string (4 + 1 setup) with two j pickups. Everyone says this is a good platform to work with if you want to tweak everything. What do you recommend for replacing these pickups and also what about the rest of the electronics?

In reference to the new model BC Rich basses like the Zombie, what do you think of the new pickups BC is using, the "BDSM" actives. Are they any good or should they be upgraded?

Im looking at buying the BC Rich Zombie 5 string. My only hesitation is the pickups on it. They have BC Rich brand BDSM active pickups. Does anyone have any experience with these pickups? Also if I were to buy it and replace the pickups what brand and model would you recommend as a solid...

I have a MAG 115C 300w combo with the MAG 410t extension cab. I thought the 15" speaker sounded good until I got the 410t, then I realized that the 15" blueline driver (150 watts from what ive read at 8 ohms) really sounded kinda muddy and could not come close to producing the tone of the 410...
