Hey all. Too many great pics of luvverly basses in here! *drools*

...and another...

It's an old NJ, came with the single P-type. And a leopard print strap. The strap went to a mate, and the P went in the bin, due to it being goosed. Long story short, I ended up buying the electronics from an Ibanez RD828, and installing both the P and the J. It's actually wired straight thro' the battery (no actual preamp), and sounds, well, unique!
Sadly it's sidelined at the moment, the cheapo tuners need replacing or repairing. It's a shed under the stickers, corners chipped off, paint scraped badly (bought it like that); but in good health otherwise. Despite being downtuned with 105's on for most of the 16 years I've had it.
Being a bit more grown up than I was then, I'm considering redoing the electronics, maybe replacing the P with an H/B and fitting a proper preamp! :eyebrow:

I bought my first BC Rich, a NJ Beast, a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Because of my crappy job it took me months to get, but it was well worth it. I still own the bass today and will NEVER get rid of it. I also own a used US made gunslinger with snakeskin paintjob, same as GRISSLEHEAD'S mockingbird on pg 9, that I saw one day at guitar center and had to have.

Here's one for the books............89' B.C.RICH MOCKINGBIRD( Made in U.S.A.)....Check out the reversed headstock with Grover Machines. Do all B.C.RICHES come with Grovers ?.....unfortunately I haven't found another one like it and I've searched the net trying. It rested comfortably in it's hardshell case for years now. I do have info on it if anybody would like to know about it.

I have a US gunslinger with the same paintjob and it also came with Grover machines. Although I think mine is a 91' and it has different pickups.

I hope to never have to sell it:)

I hope that beautiful bass doesn't end up in the hands of some jacka$$ in the States ;)

But I was kind of excited, and I wanted to get something up here to solicit feedback (good bass or not, how to make best use of the controls, etc.). So, here it is (again, soon to be cleaned up a bit more and restrung for sure!):

So, what do y'all think? Any and all comments/suggestions/tips/tricks welcome. :)

Tom.

I think that bass is absolutely terrible!!!! You should drive it down and dispose of it immediately in a house in Cincinnati!

......no wait. I will dispose of that one preperly for you ;)

okay so i have a fender jag in mint condition and can trade it in for a brand new bc rich mockingbird classic heritage, love the jag but i need more frets and the hum is killing me other than that its a sweet bass, i mean im going to get some shielding tape tomorrow from work so the hum isnt an issue.
Should i do it? any one played the bc rich? any thoughts?:help:
