I freakin love that:hyper:...so much character

So you bought that cracked and mangled warlock off of ebay.
How is it in person. As bad as it looks?
Am I to assume youll be doing a full refurb on that.

Its bad. Its real bad. I will be cutting off the wings and adding stringers. I will then add a flame maple top with a dark black finish and I will replace the binding with strips of flame maple binding.

Here's the kicker--since it has already been drilled for the extra tuner, I am going to make this a five string (c).

It will take a while...

Mikeyswood correct me if im wrong but isnt that warlock a neck thru?
if so how do you plan on making it a 5 string, new nut and bridge?
is the neck going to be wide enough?
or am i just ignorant and it will be simpliar than this?
im sure youve thought of all this already and im not trying to insult you or anything im just curious and trying to learn something new.

Quite alright.

I have a five string with a low B and I find that I use the notes on the C of my 6er more...so I am going to make it into a fiver with a C. The string spacing will be about 9/16ish. I will most likely have to make my own bridge.

Keep in mind that this will not be a "store spec" guitar. This will be brought back to life in the way that is usefull to me. I spent $250 on this so the rest is just time :)

Questions about a BC Rich NJ Eagle Pawn Shop find
I saw a NJ Eagle from what looks like the mid '80s in a pawn shop yesterday. It is in fair condition, no pickups, but the rest of the hardware and electronics are there. Body has some dings, but it is solid and the neck looks to be on good shape. It is a neckthrough and has BC RICH and NJ on the headstock.

Asking $250

Two questions. First, is it worth nearly that much? Second how do these sound/play with the normal setup? I currently have a Ibanez SRX700.

Thanks

Ken

Is that one pink? Anyway, yes it is worth it. The neck through NJ are an inck below the Americans. Second, mine sound wonderful :hmm: that is the best answer I can give.

Sorry I don't have any glamor shots of this one, it's locked up at the guitard's house right now so this will have to do. NJ Beast, bought it new around 2002 or so. I've gigged with it around 3 states, its been beaten, banged, dropped, knocked over (not by me!) and still works like new. Never let anyone tell you that an NJ series BC Rich isn't well made. Anyway, here's me using it:

Seriously, what the heck is that?

Center pic: That's Quoheleth. I designed and made that over 20 years ago. It is one piece mahogany. Is it any wonder that I like BCR. And I thought you would be wondering about the Mockingbird doubleneck, look close, both necks are 8 string. Go figure, I didn't have BCR make it, just found it used, and had to buy it. It's difficult enough finding a lefty BCR let alone that one......Lapicide
