BC Rich MEGATHREAD

Is that one pink? Anyway, yes it is worth it. The neck through NJ are an inck below the Americans. Second, mine sound wonderful :hmm: that is the best answer I can give.

Well I went ahead and pulled the trigger and got it. It needs to be sanded down and refinished, and needs all new electronics, but it will be cool again. :smug:

t looks like it could belong to a Klingon bass player.

We are from Borg actually, it's the nephew of Locucious.

The black one is an original Steinberger, early 80's.

dereksilloway Come on dont be so shy....tell everyone that its the only left handed double neck 8 string mockingbird bass in the world.
come on say it.

And alright, I'll say it, I'll say it... that is prolly the only lefty BCR Mockingbird doubleneck 8 string... There! nah, nah, naaaah nah, nah naaaaah.....

Has anybody seen the new 2008 Exotic Zombie Classic? I have extreme GAS for it. I have always wanted an Exotic shape bass in a natural color, now they have one! Going to save up right after I get my GK amp. No stores have them yet, so I am clueless on price, maybe around $800? Chech it out on their site.

wow, some beautiful basses in here . Hopefully its ok to add my new baby to the list. My wife just got me a bass for valentines day, well late valentines day. It got here yesterday, it amazes me how many people put them down. I've had mine just over 24 hours and its amazing how many people make fun of me for having a bc rich. For what its worth I know a guy who used to be a session player in LA, been on a bunch of cd's , amazing musician, great bass player, he checked it out, he owns something like 17 guitars and 8 basses, He absolutely LOVED the bc rich, so much that he asked me to bring it to one of his shows and let him play it on stage, and to make sure if I ever sell it to make sure it was to him. He even got another guy from work to come check it out so the guy could see how nice it was. So for everyone that things BC Rich are junk, I have no idea what they are talking about. Anyway, I don't have really good pics, but here's what I do have

That is one sweet looking Heritage Mockingbird! :bassist:

thanks kelly lee, I'm having some serious issues with it though, I HATE the inlays, can't stand them, and I don't like the way the bass is balanced, or its lack of balance, I could solve that by relocating the strap button, but I'm having trouble bringing myself to punching a hole in something so nice, hehe

Yeah, MB's are not known for their great balance. Whatever you do, don't make a new hole. It just isn't worth it. Have you tried using a wide leather strap with it? It does help a lot with stopping the neck from wanting to go horizontal on you.

Sorry I can't help with the inlays! If for some reason you decide to let it go, keep me in mind. ;) You could always check out one of the Innovators. They have great balance and are pretty nice looking as well.

EDIT: Scratch the Innovator idea. It looks like BCR has discontinued the line. :bawl: If you do decide to try one, now is definately the time.

Center pic: That's Quoheleth. I designed and made that over 20 years ago. It is one piece mahogany. Is it any wonder that I like BCR. And I thought you would be wondering about the Mockingbird doubleneck, look close, both necks are 8 string. Go figure, I didn't have BCR make it, just found it used, and had to buy it. It's difficult enough finding a lefty BCR let alone that one......Lapicide

Who cares about THAT? Tell us where you got the fretless Wave Bass, and if it has a right-handed sister! :)

I had the fretless Wave custom made for me back in 1987. It has solid flame koa wings. I have never seen a righty sister to it. I believe there are only something like 3 koa waves out there. Rarely have I seen any fretless BCR basses at all. I have seen one or two BCR fretless righties in the past. All the BCR fretless basses I had custom made for me personally. I happened upon the frets. I have had offers from righty players committed to turn lefty if I ever sold them.....Lapicide

It looks great. I'm not big on the crazy-shaped guitars/basses, but the Wave and Eagle basses are just conventional enough with a little bit of weirdness thrown in... :) I'll have to see if I can add another fretless Wave to the world one of these days.
