The bassist from Bolt Thrower has a rather nice custom Ironbird with a lovely blue quilt top, not to mention the biggest Trace rig I think I've ever seen in one place .Yes they would mate![]()

I recently aquired a REALLY nice Made in Japan BC Rich Bitch bass (P pickup). Sounds and plays awesome (and I mean AWESOME). I still am deciding whether or not I should keep her. Shame too because she is sooo nice and is VERY light. Not sure if I feel comfortable gig out with it as my heavy metal band playing days ended in about 1985. I know I should not worry about the look, but I'm kinda done with that. Anyway, the old BC Rich basses are impressive to play, or at least this one is...
Not as far as them touching your body. They are only irritating in the fact that they can't be placed properly to keep neck dive at bay.But do these strap pin positions become really irritating? Is it uncomfortable?
Lot's of people do but I sure wouldn't! The only way to make sure it won't fly off is to use straplocks (and if the button is on the back like normal) it is extremely uncomfortable. What am I saying? It's freakin' painful! And with the way they are placed can you jump around on stage without worring about it flying off into the crowd?![]()

It's freakin' painful! It's best to use one of the straps with the lock built into it or do some crazy mod like I did to my NJ Virgin.
This is all IMO/IME and YMMV, ofcourse.![]()
The pointy ones are better if you have to use them in a fight though!I'm quite fond of the Eagle, Innovator and Mockingbird anything else is too "pointy."

Could you imagine being hit with a Warlock, Beast, or Virgin? Ouch!![]()
I have a good story about almost losing a tooth to my Ibanez, hit my chin really hard when i was taking the strap off... very, very, very painfull. The pointy ones are better if you have to use them in a fight though!![]()
