    Show off your rig!

This is my current rig. Peavey Headliner 1000. Sounds awesome thru the Markbass cabs. My backup/rehersal amp is a Little Mark III @ 500 watts and still sounds sweet thru either one of the cabs.

    Digitech Drop (tune) Pedal

The purpose of the pedal is to come down a semitone for the ease of the vocalist, Eb is easier for him to sing in. I regularly gig and reherse in a second band and just don't fancy tuning up and tuning down all of the time.

    Digitech Drop (tune) Pedal

Has anyone got any experience using the Digitech Drop pedal with bass guitar? Some years back I used to use a Morpheus Drop pedal but that was with guitar. Wondering what your views are as I don't want to keep tuning up and down 1 semitone (which is what I'm considering it for).

Music snobs - a short rant

Kinda reminds me of the band I play in. We play rock from some late '50's but esp the '60's and '70's, some more contemporary. I find a lot of the '60's bass playing quite uninspiring but the BL likes to keep it as original as possible. On two of the songs the bass has only 2 notes played ad...

    Life span of bass guitar?

I bought my Gibson Ripper new back in '75. Up to last year it was my main instrument. It still sounds good and is a great studio bass. It still has the original humbuckers, knobs, switches, even down to the pickguard screws. ...makes it 43 yrs old this year. I only got a second bass (my Burns...

Frustrating audition experience - long rant alert

+ 1. If it were me, I'd have chucked that band in after the first audition.
