    Can't speak to the Lakland, but my Lull P4 build has the J neck, and it's phenomenal. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] the sunburst is my bass. There are some pretty good pics there of the neck and headstock.

    The neck is great! the finish is really smooth and the action and speed are such that it almost plays itself. I recently put some chromes on it and I really love the tone.

    Nordstrand mm4.4 options.

    I had a conversation over email with one of the techs and split coil P-bass wiring is not possible with nordstrand quads because they're configured like this: ++-- --++ and they only have 4 leads.

    if you go used you can pick up a Mesa Walkabout Head for around 550~600. great head, and has a wonderful grit sound.

    Eden cabs, hate their brassy sound. Originally thought they'd be the bees knees with as much as people talk Eden gear up around here. GK, pretty much everything they make sounds like garbage to me. That fake ass "solid state grind" isn't fooling anyone.

    Tubes, Mesa Walkabout and an old thomas organ

    +1 on the 5751 + 12AX7 combination. I have a JAN GE 5751 in v1 and an EHX 12AX7 in v2, sounds amazing in comparison to the stock tubes.
