If they have tiny ribbeltjes on the side, they will go in the wood. It'll fit.

If you have the same as I do, I drilled 10 Mm holes and then they fit nicely. I don't gleu them in, they will be held in place by the strings ofcause, and if you want to change the colour of your hard ware, say from gold to black, you can just pop in new ones. My 2 euro cents

I have the same thing going on, with a preslotted fretboard and a brass nut blank, except mine is just under a Mm or something, but I also want a tight fit. I was thinking in the lines of a (few) piece(s) of vineer, then it's made of wood and looks alot better. But I want to see what the pro's...

You might wanna try glueing it up first....indeed...who know's...it might hold.

When I look at this crack, I think, maybe you can cut it off cleanly at a 14 degree angle or something, just what you wood do when you want to make a scarfjoint, the angle of the crack will do just fine.... and make a new, real scarfjoint, starting at the end of the fretboard,.......with a whole...

No 2 black hole's are the same....this also apply's for 2 piece's wood... One question.... Does a bass with wings made out of balsa wood sound the same as one with wings made out of Bubinga? I don't think so......

While reading I was like...man grap some woods, does not really matter what, just some decent stuff, walnut, maple, ash...and make your own, it's so much fun to see a bass coming out of the wood, you have the choice of any shape you want. I'm a newby myself, build a few, and learned pretty much...

Maybe you can put some tape around it, to reinforce it a bit, so the head won't come off if something happens with it. And it will keep the crack clean from dust and other things... Just a thought...

2 years ago, when it was way to cold to go to my shop, I've build a bass on my salon table and the livingroom floor. All the glueing I did on the floor of my livingroom and the rest off the work on my salontable....no sh**! You have to be creative with yur clamps.... It's still not...

Cool...I still haven't done mine...I'll go glueless I think. If it does not work out, you can always try again. And I love the finish on yur bass, looks great.

I wonder when I get to see more from my favorite build...
