    Bee Bass owners club

If shipping and taxes to the UK weren't disgustingly expensive, I'd be very interested! It'd go well with my 10 string 'Binky' Bee Bass.

You don't. Therein lies one of the many problems.

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

There is a logic to Eddie's methods. I'm sure most will agree as and when Eddie reports back.

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

On the other hand... If you KNOW you're not going to get a penny of cash but MIGHT get a bass, then why not continue to pursue it? Personally, I'd still try to have the court order converted to assets seizure and take everything he owns. People like Jon don't deserve air to breath, in an ideal...

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

I have to agree with others on this... DONT get Jon to build you a bass, it'll be an excuse to shine you on indefinitely. You'll be back here in 2 or 3 years saying the same things. Jon has shown a repeat pattern of behaviour for well over 10 years, why expect him to change now? Get cash from...

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

Personally, I'd take the court ruling back to court and request that bailiffs be able to seize assets to the value of your claim. Bailiffs will add a substantial fee to the owed number which will probably see all of Jon's current inventory seized as well as all of his luithery tools. The...

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

Your comment about people encouraging violence towards you being 'disturbing'. Ever thought that your sociopathic behaviour of repeatedly conning innocent people that believed in your product is disturbing? I certainly do. To confirm violence is never the answer... but it doesn't surprise me...

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

Jon, your side of the story has always been the same. 'I'm not in the best place right now'. Seems you've never been in the best place... We all have issues, have you ever stopped to think that your abhorrent behaviour is putting people in very bad places?? Chasing you for months certainly...

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

And an email I sent to him shortly after, looks very familiar to Eddie's situation doesn't it! Very glad I've not had to deal with Jon for 10 years... Proof that this isn't an 'isolated' incident as Jon claims.

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

Just found the email Jon sent to me and others regards 'slander'... If anyone would like to see/have a copy of the huge volume of other emails I have from Jon and his multiple email accounts to help their case and prove a pattern of behaviour, then just ask.

    WARNING: Jon Letts/Letts Basses

To add my 2 cents... This is NOT 'a few' isolated incidents as Jon claims. Over on Basschat there was a VERY lengthy thread were multiple people (myself included) were in the same position as Eddie some years ago. Jon ended up threatening a good number of us with taking legal action against...

    Bee Bass owners club

FYI I bought that BayBee 5 string a few days ago, just used it at practice yesterday and it is an amazing little beast! The 10 string in my Avatar is also a Bee Bass, one Fred built for me some 15 years ago. I sent him an email a few days ago and as you may have guessed, no response. Whatever...

Found a contact number for Dan and sent him a message!

@mark beem, that 7 string Conklin with the burst neck and Lacewood (I think!) top is literally THE reason I got into ERB. It was seeing that actual that led me to eventually order Binky! Do you know where it is now? Would love to make an offer on it.

Are those SX basses any good? Seen mixed reviews, seems like a tall order for them to be high quality at their $200 price tag, but if they are then that would be a hell of a deal for a new bass! They look nice enough at any rate. :)

recent thread about winning Lotto and Basses ... my experience ..!

I used to have a Bongo 6, looked exactly like yours in fact! Great basses. While we're sharing bass pics, I think a mention to my Conklin 8 is required! An absolutely incredible beast built by Bill and the team, this one literally has all the tricks... duel custom pickups, piezo, midi, the...

ERBs, What have you got? Anything with 6 strings or more!

@Mustang Surly, at the end of the day you have to play what's comfortable, and if a 6er with comfortable spacing comes with an uncomfortable neck width then practically maybe 5 strings with good spacing is the best option!

ERBs, What have you got? Anything with 6 strings or more!

It takes a bit of getting used to (I jumped straight from 4 strings to 10 strings years ago then got other ERBs along the way) and I wouldn't necessarily use it all the time, but yes Binky is definitely quite easily playable! I usually use my 6 string De Gier and my 8 string Conklin for general...

ERBs, What have you got? Anything with 6 strings or more!

@Alexandermh, it was made by a Polish luither called Langowski, I've since moved it on as the edges of the body were very square which made for uncomfortable playing, other than that it was as near to a AJ6 as can be. @Mustang Surly, I tend to find Ibanez 6ers have very tight spacing. Try...

ERBs, What have you got? Anything with 6 strings or more!

The only 'this bass only' recording I have is one from around 5 years ago... the video quality is poor and the take was done once and a little rushed but it gives you a rough idea. Binky was used on 2 tracks on our album 'The Fire Ignites' (band name Art Of Rebellion). The album is on iTunes...

Is it just the picture orientation or are the ALL lefties? Ironically I'm a lefty but made the conscious decision to play right handed when I first started learning as being a right handed player opens up the second hand market to you in a very different way than being a lefty player.

ERBs, What have you got? Anything with 6 strings or more!

That Ibanez looks awesome, that blue should be a stock colour, very nice indeed! Binky was indeed from Life in Hell, a pre-simpsons Matt Greoning comic. The Simpsons was first aired on the day I was born some 30 or so years ago, and for years when I was younger I used to doodle Binky (still...

Hi all, Just signed up to talkbass today! I'm based over in the UK and have amassed a small collection of various extended range basses from 6 strings to 10 strings (even owned a true 4ths 13 string a while ago!) I'm keen to see what you guys have in the way of ERBs over here, any...

ERB enthusiast from across the pond!

Afternoon Gents and Gentettes, Thought I'd sign up after years of sporadic silent observing! I've been an avid user of the UK equivalent site Invalid Link Removed for years and finally joined this well established online home for bassists! I'm mainly a 6 string (bass) player, but own a good...
