I have a new SP1 and it came with a bridge shim. Never knew that this was done. It states on their site that it can be added if you need higher action. Just curious to see if anyone has tried it and your results. Thanks.

Any Tobias owners here that know the meaning of HR that is part of the code used to I.D. bass and wood type? i.e. It reads C5 BWA HR penciled in in the truss rod cavity. It's a Classic 5 Bubinga,Wenge ,Alder then followed by HR. Thanks for any info.

I saw these guys Saturday night in the North East and was knocked out by their show. If you are a RUSH fan I highly recommend them. Geddy counterpart was spot on with voice, bass, keyboards. The drummer was Neal Peart reincarnated, wicked solo. The guitar player fit like a glove.

On my last 3 gigs the BL had an EV Evolve 50 PA. Small, very portable and loud & clear even on 2 outdoor gigs. Just amazing how good the new gear is.

Hello If I replace a bridge with 20 mm string spacing to one with 17-18 mm spacing is it necessary to re-do the nut spacing Reason is I have a 4 string with the 20 mm spacing but my main axes are all 17.5 and cannot get use to the wider spacing. Any input greatly appreciated.

After watching Ed Friedlands demo on this cab too many times I decided to take the plunge. It was a Scabbey Road build. Beautiful quality build with Faital speakers. It's everything that Ed describes in his review. The mid-range really stands out on & off-axis.

My new Line 6 G10 works fine with 2 active 9 V basses but does not work with my 18 V active bass. Hmmm.... Feedback welcomed.

Last night's gig was at a local joint, holds approx. 45 people. Pay $80 per man. We had a good turn out and patrons stayed with compliments about the band. So we remind them that tips are very much appreciated. I have never worked with a band that puts out a tip jar. A happy... patron grabs...

I recently caught Malcolm Bruce, Kofi Baker and and Will Johns playing the music of Cream. The band played the music very well and Malcom was phenomenal at sounding like his Dad by singing and soloing and adding jazz inspired lines thru out the tunes.

I went to Gruhn's Guitars in Nashville TN recently. WOW. Talk about drooling. Got to play one of Jack Bruce's autographed Warwick Thumb basses, for sale at $65000. Yup, that's $65,000.00 The other JB Warwick was $50,000.00 I hope a bit of Jack's magic rubbed off on my fingers. Great guitar shop.

My buddy had a gig this weekend and had to compete against 10 large screen TV's with Olympic Ice Curling on. The band did their best but the Curling won. Why do we do this ? lol
