thanks for the input guys, from what i can tell, at the back of the mixer, it does have 2 1/4 outputs, but i don't know exactly how i'd use that to record say 5 tracks at once on a computer and adjust each and every one

extra note: i am using a macbook to record with its microphone input. I don't mind buying a USB interface, but right now i'm using Audacity to record the raw audio
