Any *conclusive* downsides to short scale?

No, only upsides. Easier to play, (usually) lighter, less strain on left arm/hand. You might need to adjust the right hand technique a bit; play With a slightly lighter touch, but that's not really a bad thing.

Flatwounds on Fender Mustang, any problems?

D'addario Chromes medium scale works perfectly for the Stang. I use them all the time. Not too dull, and higher tension suits the short scale perctly!:bassist:

Anyone Gig With A Fender Mustang Bass?

I have been gigging Mustangs for years, first a MIJ Re-issue, and the last 7 years a '77 MIA. Both great basses, and especially the '77 matches any Precision I have tried when it comes to quality. It also sounds similar, but With it's own vibe. So absolutely no need to worry about gigging...

    Official Landing Bass Club

Hi, I'm GASing for a short scale P-Bass, and the Landing L30P seems to be it! But there is no info the P necks on the web site. Are they wide like a regular P-bass, or slim and narrow like a J-bass? It seems their standard necks are 1,6" at the nut, but I noticed some are 1,5". A bit...

Hi, The Fender site says the TV Duo Ten weighs 61.5 lbs (27.8 kg), and I remember someone here said the weight was 53 lbs. But when lifting one in the store it felt more like 75 lbs. Anybody else here who could verify the weight of the Duo Ten (or the Fifteen)? Thanks, Joe

    Fender Mustang - which model?

Hi, I have owned a RI and still own a '77 with a maple fretboard. The RI has a short scale Jazz neck while the '77 has a short P-neck' i.e it's a bit wider and and fatter. Though I like the skinny neck of the RI, the '77 (at least mine) is a better bass in every respect. It feels more solid...
