Peavey Mark III. I love it to death!

I've never had any problems with my old Peavey Mark III head. It's from the 80's, but it's never given me a problem. With a metal band, I'm not sure. It's worth a try, though. I bought mine used from Music-Go-Round for like $160.

Under "Ebay Feedback" where he's got his reviews in red and blue, the words almost turn 3D if you scroll down and watch them haha. I too am confused about whether it's a Fender or not. It says Fender on the headstock, but he claims to have made the bass? Or are we need supposed to read that far...

My first bass ever was an Archer P-bass copy that I still have. It's a solid enough bass, it just needs another new pair of strings and probably some new pickups. Sure it doesn't have the Fender "grind" to it, but it plays nice enough.

I have a Fender Rumble 60 I just use at home now. When I used it in previous bands, it was always loud enough for the most part. Now that I have it at home, I realized I could get an awesome tone out of it haha. I'd stick with combo amps for now until you need something bigger and know the tone...
