Spector Timbre - Great bass but issues

I’m seriously interested in this particular bass as I’ve found one for sale. The reviews seem good but am looking for an opinion from a bass player who owns one as opposed to presenters on utube who make content, thanks in advance

    "Basses are only tools"

Well I believe the answer to this question depends on a couple of variables. Are you a gigging musician or a collector that maybe jams a few times a year. I found that the more I was playing out and practicing , my Basses became tools, I played the same 2 Basses for 20 years, took care of them...

How many Basses do you Return per Year?

Well ive been playin since 72 and haven’t returned any Basses. I have returned 2 guitars in that time to my local music store. One had a neck problem that surfaced when I had it home for 1 day. I just got back one of my older gigging Basses about a year ago. 2008 Epiphone Thunderbird. The band I was in back then needed a P bass sound so I traded her away, saw her advertised on the net and ran over and bought her back. An old friend.
