The BP 355 is a fantastic unit. I dont know how it compares to the other units in the same price range ($199) but this thing kicks butt. Well worth checking out.

I grow my right hand index finger nail out a little and cut it at an angle and file the left side of it down. Now this may seem strange but when I play finger style the nail hardly touches the string. I use the nail part for a pick. It works both ways.

Hey guys....again, and I love to say this...the BP355 kicks some serious bass. Made a steel drum patch(?) yep...reggae! BTW...for a cool steel drum type sound, set your analog delay time to 30, repeat to 70, and level to 99.

Go to YouTube and search James Jamerson bass lines and there are some great isolated tracks. The coolest one is "Whats goin on?", just the bass and Marvin Gayes vocals. Then click on the person who posted it and there are a lot more that are done like that.

Found my funk sound. Simply use the FX25 without distortion, use the commando amp model with the ed4x10 cab model, and under EQ crank presence all the way. Have some killer slap stuff on the way.

Hi Brent. Like Crystalman was saying, it does take time to find the sounds that you like. I rarely use presets now cause I tweak the crap out of every patch. The octaver is very glitchy I agree. What I do is use the pitch or whammy for octave effects with very little to no glitching. Got to set...
