    Tru-Oil Finish

That finish looks great. But what do you mean by "walnut tru oil"? As far as I know there is only one kind of tru oil, which isn´t that dark as yours. Thanks.

Going from the BDDI to the ParaDriver…. Anyone else?

Your stingray sounds totally great with only the Sansamp and with the Sansamp/DCX! It's those two sounds that I like most out of the different sounds in your soundfiles. Cool!

    The official Ibanez Blazer/Roadstar Club

As we know the RB 630/650s came with different necks, more precisely different headstocks, both 2/2 and 4-in-line. Does anyone know if those necks do have the same neck heel dimensions? The reason I ask: as the photo shows I´m missing one neck, hence I would like to know if the neck...

30” Scale Compact Semi-acoustic Fretless Bass Build

You‘re so right regarding your comment about getting old. As it‘s never too late, I‘m about to start my first build from scratch. Having no experience in wood-working, I‘ve decided to build a body only. But I see myself also doing a neck-build, once I will have a bit more experience (maybe next...

    Reccomendations on Weirdest/Unique basses

Beautiful! How would describe these pu´s tonewise compared to the classic emg and/or geezer pj set? Do you prefer the reverse split coil over the standard config generally? Thanks.

Different ways to configure a PJ....

How do you achieve the cut-trace? Is it provided by the pot itself? Or do you need to connect and solder it in a certain way? In case it's the pot itself: may I ask you for a link please? Thank you.

    Devil Magnum

@JIO : love to watch your build threads. Always great design ideas, most of which are to my liking, and even with the few exceptions where the design isn't exactly my taste (like the body of the devil magnum in this thread for example), I still appreciate the idea behind. It's the idea of a...

    Fender "Pure Vintage" Pickups

For those of you who know the Fender pure vintage 74 jazz bass pu´s: anybody who can confirm that the bridge pu does have a lower resistance than the neck pu? Usually it´s the other way around. But according to the manufacturer specs that bridge pu reads 7,8 kohm, while the neck pu reads 8,3...

Hornet Crackle Kraze Batman! Craquelure effect finish

    Pickup demagnetising

Didn´t know that you have trouble with your Realistic. Thought your pickups are doing fine after repotting. Maybe the pickups of my old Eko are suffering from demagnetising as well. I will see. (But maybe I should have better post this in your Jay Turser thread? Don´t know...sorry..)

Interesting discoveries about my Jay Turser Violin Bass---sound clips included

@JimmyM : I assume, your Realistic has all the low end and thump, that you would expect from these kind of basses, right? Really interesting for me, since it is equipped with single coils, just as my EKO 995, that I have recently purchased and unfortunately lacks bottom end and thump. For more...
