Oh, yeah thats supposed to be the wire for the bypass, but it got so covered in solder it became a blob. I wired the switch so that from that picture, the right side would be "up" in the wiring diagram I used.

From what I've heard, the only difference is that the Hot Hand 3 works with any pedal with an expression jack, whereas the 2 only worked with Source Audio pedals. So if you're using it with a Source Audio pedal, there shouldn't be a difference. Then again, you might want to wait for more...
