Hey! They are a set of La Bellas now (which I love). They arnt the best for slap, I jad some daddarios on before on those were better. I've also replaced the pickups with some diamarzios which are great. I little more mids and punch :)

Yup they are the perfect slap bass. With a set of rounds on it, it gets that perfect slap sound. I dont slap much and I've got flats on mine and I love it. Fit and finish is great. You cant go wrong with one of these!

Hey! I just caught the Toronto Foos show (which was perfect) and Nate who is usually just a P bass guy, was playing a jazz, rickenbacker and jack casady epiphone bass. All sounded cool, the rick was my favorite, Im excited to see what basses he will use on new recordings now!

Im suprised its so bright and clanky, I always thought it was fuzzier and deeper! Its cool how different a bass in a mix can sound.

Why can it only have 1 pickup, isnt there an HH model, just use that and solo the bridge pickup. The single H kinda seems redundant

I hardly use my pinky really. Unless im doing a big stretch or firts position stuff I typically im just using my first 3. I know its bad technique but ive never heard anyone call me out on it

Marcus Miller is another one I dont like. I dont find it very musical, very poppy and clanky.

Aha, I like thier music, and find most of it pretty interresting, but I just hate the bass tone on their stuff. It sounds so bland :P

If your doing acoustic alt/heavy rock I think I would use the p bass with rounds on it. A nice bright p bass under acoustic guitars could sound really cool. If not I would just through flats and mute and play like that. No real need to spend too much money. I think you can EQ your bass to sound...

Any jazz could get you that elp tone. Just go out as many jazzes in your price range as you can. Modern jazzes havnt changed all that much since the sixities as far as tones go. I'd reccommend an American Std jazz

For me its a jazz bass. I like the scoopy fuzzy tons I get out of my minifooger and my jazz with flats. My p bass seems to get to hairy and doesnt sound as focused. I find when I play basses with rounds and fuzz/od i dislike the harmonic overtones that get distorted.
