Depending on the bass you have i would sell the peavey and then get a peavey t40, in terms of what it can do it is exactly everything that your heart desires, they are iconic basses but only until recent is that people are finding out about these legendary beastly basses, they can do anything...

    Nut materials test

I think a graphlon nut would be good... great even, im not an expert on nuts but wount you want your open note sound like a fretted note just to keep the sound consistent across the board? i feel with bone nuts when you play open string notes they sound slightly woody to the fretted notes on the...

Threatened of being fired (from 2 bands) because I won't take a spare bass...

I dont know about you guys but in my whole life of playing bass ive probably have broke 0 strings... Theres just no reason why a string would mysteriously snap in half under the standard tension let alone drop tunings, also it is ery very very highly unlikely that pickups die all of the sudden...

    Micro tilt neck adjustment

The 4 big screws on the plate are tight, and i know how to adjust the micro tilt neck, its just that everytime i go to detune my strings, it makes this clak noise at the neck when its loosing tension and again when its gaining tension... im guessing these parts wear down over time right?

    Micro tilt neck adjustment

hello, is it possible for the micro tilt neck adjustment in a 1981 Peavey T40 to just slip over time? When i got the bass, it was making a weird clanking noise at the neck heel, so i adjusted and tightened the micro tilt neck adjustment, this raised the bottom of the neck slightly and now when i...

I enlarged the 2nd hole by making it slightly bigger on the control plate, besides ever since i had the open cavity and the pickup just in the middle i think the sustain in the higher notes have gone up substantially!
