I already tried a Jazz and a Precision. I made some studio recordings with those basses, so i know them quite well. But the Mustang is more original, as it's a short scale and has this strange humbucker. I don't want to replace my Thumb. It will still be my main bass. I'm just looking for...

Pedaltrains are really good. I personally prefer the T-Rex pedalboards, but it mainly depends on how you want to set your pedals on your board, as they aren't built in the same way.

I use the Eau Claire Thunder (not the Baby). It's definitely the best Fuzz I ever heard, to my ear.

Anyone using the Supa Trem from Fulltone? It's a great pedal, with lots of switches that you can activate by foot, which is very useful in live conditions. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a tap tempo...

I would suggest the TC Electronic Nova Repeater. It's a great piece of gear, and it has quite a lot of possibilities.

I don't think that having both would be really interesting, as they are both supposed to do more or less the same thing. I never tried to use the M80 as a boost, but even if it could probably work pretty well, i wouldn't see the point of using such a pedal as a simple boost.

No always on pedal for me. I use the Spectracomp from my TC head, but all of my pedals are for some specific parts in the songs.

I owned the M 80 for a few years, and I actually use the B7K. The M 80 is a very nice, good sounding and versatile pedal. The preamp and DI parts of the pedal are really nice, and i used it a lot for small gigs. The OD part is quite good too, but i disliked the fact that the "color" switch...

I use it on its own, or with my micro POG. It's a very particular effect, and I use it for a more synth-like fuzzy tone. If you don't want to lose some lows, you could use an EQ pedal with it.

The B7K is a really great one. I would recommend it too.

You can find some really good bass lessons on youtube, such as the videos from MarloweDK or Scottbasslessons. Otherwise, the Hal Leonard method is quite popular.

The EBS Session 60 is a nice amp, and would be ok for your needs.

Nice gear, looks great. I would have placed the pedals in the same order as you.

I like having envelope filters and pitch effects such as octavers first. The tracking is better IMO. The dirt part comes after.

I didn't really like guitar, and loved rhythm. I had no place to play drums, so i went for bass... and i'm really glad i did. :)

Sounds really interesting. I always prefer overdrive pedals with EQs. This might make me add this pedal to my GAS list!

I really like my MXR Bass envelope filter too. It's really versatile, and it isn't limited to funky stuff.

I would the suggest the Darkglass Electronics B3K/B7K/Microtubes. All of them are some of the best OD/Distortion pedal i was able to play with.

I would suggest you to buy a multi-effect pedal, like a Zoom, too. It will allow you to try different stuff. It's quite hard to know which pedal you need/want when you never tried one with your own bass and your amp.

I thought there was one, but it looks like I was wrong. :smug: My guitarist has the Superego with an expression pedal, i thought it was on all of them, but it looks like he modded it.

Yes, it was Jason Newsted. In fact, it seemed to be just one of the many reasons why he left. :D

The Superego is a not a "pure synth" pedal, but you can get some really cool sounds with it. I'd recommend to use an expression pedal with it, otherwise, it's pretty hard to keep control on it.
