    Sire V7 new neck pickup

I saw an existing thread on this topic but no one answered the op’s question. At NAMM 2025 Sire introduced upgraded Z 7’s with chunkier MM style neck pickups instead of the Jazz style that many say are quiet and thin sounding. The pole pieces are chunky and match the bridge. Has anyone...

    Sire M7 Club

Looks like the new Sire M’s are trickling in to Sweetwater. I noticed new M5’s several days ago. Now they have alder body M7 5 strings with battery doors.

    sire M7 gig worthy?

Since I haven’t played one and none of my local guitar stores have them in stock Im concerned mostly with things like ergonomics, how it sounds in a live mix, quality of the B string. Stuff like that. Im not thrilled buying basses online without playing them first but that’s how things have evolved.

    sire M7 gig worthy?

Does anyone gig with a Sire M7? I gig about once a month. I’m looking for a versatile 5 string that is dependable. I like the 18mm string spacing at the bridge. Ash body with maple top, ebony fretboard, and carbon fiber neck rods. Sire gets high marks for build quality but does anyone have...

    G&L Tribute L2500 Ash Top

Was there a QC problem with the L2500 or do you just prefer the sound of the JB? How was the low B on the L2500?

    G&L Tribute L2500 Ash Top

How is the definition on the low E? There are several comments on TB threads stating that poplar bodies result in muddy undefined low end.

    G&L Tribute L2500 Ash Top

Is the “ash top” on the G&L tribute L2500,sunburst with rosewood fretboard, a thin veneer? Or is there some meat to it? Has anyone played one of these?

No case no C of A would you buy?

I don't collect basses I play them. But I like buying new ones every couple of years and selling the old ones. So I don't end up with a heard of basses I'm not playing. It's not an investment or a desire for increased value at the time of resale. If you found 1 bass that you will play...

No case no C of A would you buy?

Can't be a squier body because of the contoured neck heel and 5 bolt design. Plus all the hardware and electronics are genuine Fender.

Thanks. Good perspective.I plan on gigging with it and playing it for a few years at least.

No case no C of A would you buy?

It comes with an after market case. I’m thinking it might be hard to sell 5 or 10 years from now if I want to unload it without the C of A or original case.

No case no C of A would you buy?

Looking for opinions here. Would you buy a like new 2021 American Ultra Precision bass with no Certificate of Authenticity and an aftermarket hard shell case? I have verified the condition. It still has the protective film on the pickups pick guard and control knobs. It’s genuine and like new...

Is this a real Ultra Precision Bass?

HI All. I'm considering buying a used Ultra Precision bass. This photo shows the back of the headstock. Is that Fender 75 stamp legit? I went to Sweetwater and looked at pics of their Ultra Precisions and they do not have the Fender 75 stamp on the back of the headstock. Any thoughts?

Is this a real player jazz

So I pased on the deal. The main reson is the guy with the Mexican standard said it was a 2018 Player series that he bought "new from Fender in 2018" and he was the original owner. Clearly neither of those statements are true. The neck is most likely authentic but there is no way of being...

Is this a real player jazz

I'm thinking I'll take the MIM plus $800 cash. If we value the MIM at $450 or $500 that would mean I'm valuing my Pro 2 at $1250 or $1300

Is this a real player jazz

Nothing is wrong with it. Heres the part I left out. I play guitar and bass and I need cash for a guitar build but I still need a decent playable bass. My band has percussion, drums, keyboards, vocals, backing vocals. I feel like I can play a player or MIM standard and fit well in the mix...

I’m thinking of trading my American Pro 2 jazz bass for a player jazz plus cash. Do you think this is a real player jazz bass? The lettering on the headstock is black with gold outline but at fender and Seeetwater websites the headstock lettering is gold with black outline. Also, at fender and...

    Fender American Professional II Series

The difference according to the reviewers on Andertons youtube channel is that the production Vmod 1 coils were wound differently from the prototype. So Fender is now winding them according to the prototype spec.

Fair price for mint pro jazz bass

I'm considering purchasing a used pro jazz bass for $1,000. Does anyone know how much the standards were discounted when the pro series replaced them? I read somewhere in this forum that new standards were discounted to $900 when the pros came out. Just trying to decide if I should grab the...

    Fender American Professional series discontinued?

Would love to see the vmod tweaked or replaced. For pbass I’d like to keep the pro 1 neck profile but contour the heel. Is it dreaming to ask for stainless steel frets?

HI Folks, Fender support says a new series to replace the American Professional series will be introduced next month. Not sure if introduced means available for purchase but I'll wait and see. Almost pilled the trigger on an AmPro Pbass but willing to hold off for a look at the "revamp" Kyle...
