Looks like the new Sire M’s are trickling in to Sweetwater. I noticed new M5’s several days ago. Now they have alder body M7 5 strings with battery doors.

Since I haven’t played one and none of my local guitar stores have them in stock Im concerned mostly with things like ergonomics, how it sounds in a live mix, quality of the B string. Stuff like that. Im not thrilled buying basses online without playing them first but that’s how things have evolved.

Was there a QC problem with the L2500 or do you just prefer the sound of the JB? How was the low B on the L2500?

How is the definition on the low E? There are several comments on TB threads stating that poplar bodies result in muddy undefined low end.

It comes with an after market case. I’m thinking it might be hard to sell 5 or 10 years from now if I want to unload it without the C of A or original case.

The difference according to the reviewers on Andertons youtube channel is that the production Vmod 1 coils were wound differently from the prototype. So Fender is now winding them according to the prototype spec.
