Has anyone here upgraded their SP1 with Canadian-made Dingwall pickups? I'd love to hear your thoughts and impressions.

I’m pretty sure that once they’ve traced a template, they don’t just throw it away — they probably keep it so they can reuse it for future orders.

Has anyone here had the chance to compare La Bella flatwound strings and Payson flatwound strings, both in multiscale format? I’d be curious to hear your opinion on these two string options.

To those who own a John Taylor bass: do the color lines continue underneath the pickguard? I have a Primrose 4-string on the way, and AI helped me visualize what it would look like with a transparent pickguard.

I do have color preferences. 1 Montezuma Brown. 2 midnight blue 3 jetglo 4 fireglo I have a Little something for the 4003ws but its matte, if it was glossy, it would probably be my no. 1 choice.

Sorry to interrupt the Effigy discussion. Quick question for SP1’s owners. I adore my SP1. If there was only one thing I’d like, it’s a bit more tone clarity. Anyone here have install Canadian pickups in their SP1? Or do you think It would bring that little extra clarity I have looking for?

I like my SP-1 so much, I feel like buying another one and modify it with 3 pickups. BTW, I am sending my SP-1 4 string’s pickguard to Greasy Groove in Canada. They’ll soon have a template if you want to order a custom pickguard.

IMHO they have the best 4 string necks period. In 25 years of playing, I haven’t tried anything as confortable or as fast as a 4 string Dingwall neck.
