15-string Prat Bass for Jauqo III-X

This thing is seriously a piece of art. The choice of woods is perfect. Everything about this bass calls my name.

I don't think I'd do it justice, but maybe a regular five string will come my way in the future.

Those are light strings. Is that done to reduce tension on the neck? Or because it is hard to play three strings with higher tension? Or because you just like light strings?

I have never played a bass with multiple strings, so I don't know what to think.

And that is a beautiful bass.

Jauqo- I appreciate you going beyond the limits of what bass guitar "should" be- as well as instruments in general.

I wont anytime soon- but this has me wanting to build a triple course bass for myself.

That sounds amazing and looks great! Apparently it's very responsive - or at least you make it look effortless to play.

Does that instrument 'demand the spotlight' or can it settle back into the mix without being a distraction when it's not the featured instrument?

No, not at all

The original concept is for it to be extremely versatile. Meaning that it is used just as much as a background instrument as well as a sololistic one if I need.
