2013-14 NHL Regular Season Thread: Second Period

Fleury is as good as luongo come playoffs. Both equally bad and unable to cope its the added pressure.

I guarantee Pittsburgh is gonna be out in the semi finals. They can't cope with a hot streaking bruins team.

And as for Toronto, have a nice early summer.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. First time I recall seeing two fighters go at it then kind of congratulate the other was Marty McSorely vs Bob Probert. When that marathon fight was over, Probert gave Marty a pat on the side of his head like, 'Good job, kid".

Nowadays with players miked from time to time, it's interesting to hear some of the chirping and sometimes friendly conversation that goes on.

I hate the Flyers, and their fans, and cheer for as much misfortune as possible. When I was a bouncer at Penn State, most of the kids I had to physically fight were from the Philly suburbs. Not saying there's no one like that from western PA, I just have a deeply ingrained detest for them.

I don't like Giroux, I kind of think he's a punk. But it's natural for me to hate the captain of the Flyers. That said, Simmonds is one of my favorite NHL players. He's the power forward I wish James Neal was. I would run circles around my house naked screaming at the top of my lungs if Simmonds ever ended up on the Penguins.

It's scary how much you and I think alike! LOL I loathe that team, and it ticks me off when a player I like ends up there (Forsberg, Roenick, Tocchet (again))

Oddly enough, growing up in Pittsburgh in the late 70's, I still hated the Flyers but my favorite player was none other than Bobby Clarke. Sure, he was dirty, but he also busted his a$$ on every single shift, and was one of the best leaders ever to play the game.

Lol I know. But even when he has a and season or whatever, they somehow turn him into this inspirational hero.

Like in the conference final against Boston, he scored like one goal in the sweep but they somehow turned that into some kind of godly act. Sick of it. Patrick Kane could do better than him.
