Right now Don Cherry is my hero. He's the only one at CBC who doesn't think Montreal as a collective is Jesus.

ESPN.com is reporting that the Sharks owner has decided to keep the GM and coach. I wonder how that headline will read in Pittsburgh.

He probably will eventually if Montreal ends up going to the Cup finals. He thought the exact same thing with the Canucks in 2011. He does that for every Canadian team that doesn't get eliminated in the first round. I'm not surprised.
Did anyone like that Canuck team?
I live in Vancouver and I still remember how the atmosphere changed every round:
Round 1: Chicago: Big buzz; people said it was "our" turn to end the Hawks' dominance of the Canucks in the playoffs. A few bandwagoners.
Round 2: Nashville: bandwagon filled up a lot after Burrows scored in OT in Game 7 against the Hawks. A lot of people didn't hold their breath in the second round still.
Round 3: San Jose. Big big buzz. More bandwagoners. People who didn't give a lick about hockey whatsoever started donning hats, toques, jerseys, t-shirts.
Round 4: Games 1-2: EVERYONE IS ALL YAY. Round 3 and 4: meh...it's tied 2-2. Game 5: YES ONE MORE WIN!!! Game 6 and 7: Next stop: Boston: all bandwagoners hopped off and suddenly acted like they never cared about hockey.
As for everyone else, I'm rpetty sure the Hawks, Kings, Sharks, Preds, Blues, and other teams wanted Boston to win. I think Toews even said in an interview: "I'm cheering for Boston. I hate that Vancouver team."
If you don't already know this then I hate to be the one to break this to you, but everyone outside of Vancouver hated that team.
I'm not ready to watch baseball. I'll be bored until August. That's when football starts up and baseball games start to really matter. Someone should start a pro summer hockey league or something.
Or how about watch the rest of the playoffs and just watch it for the sport, not for the teams that are in it? You won't get more hockey until October (September if you're into pre-season games) and highlights can only help your love so much...right?
Is there any talk of establishing a WNHL? I would definitely watch a WNHL summer league (real hockey, not bikini hockey).
