I understand this completely and I'll be adding a 2nd 212AV cab to my rig sometime in the future.
Another successful gig with the v4b this weekend, never played a rig that sounds so good live!
V4-B reissue in the classifieds!!! Wish I was gigging and had a reason to pick it up!!!
Go ahead and grab it! It's an awesome amp, what more reason do you need!!!
Reading all these V4B reissue comments I ended up folding up like cheap lawn furniture. Just ordered a new V4B and will be here by Wednesday next week. Just in time for a gig on Saturday 10/11 too!
LOL! Well if it's any consolation to your emptier wallet, you will love it. I doubt you'll even want to replace the output transformer with a Heyboer, but if you do, let me know what you think

Musicians Friend has a RESTOCK for 899. They aren't very knowledgeable about what that means for this particular unit... could be factory second, refurb, or return. Thoughts on whether buying a Restock is a good idea? I'm leaning against doing this, but 400 off is tempting me.

I could mean that the box was opened or as you said, a repair or return. If you had the serial number you could call Loud and ask if it was previously registered, repaired, or a second. I've done that in the past and they can check their records for you. You want to know what sort of warranty is comes with and not rely on the word of the salesman.
Some amps do not come with a full warranty. B stock amps only come with a 90 day warranty. This is explained in the support section of the Ampeg web site.
It would be nice if you could look at it before you bought it. I'd only buy it came with a full warranty.
I bought a restock SVT-VR from MF a few years ago. I was quite worried when I saw the shipping box, but the amp itself looked fine cosmetically and sounds absolutely wonderful. If I didn't already have a V-4B, I'd look into the restock for $300 off. You should also be able to get 15% off for their fall sale, but you may need to call in for that.

Got to hear and play through a V4B Reissue and an Ampeg 410HE B series in a local store the other day. The tone was amazing as expected but this thing had an incredible punch. This was not at normal store levels either they don't mind if you crank it up. So now I'm really thinking about one of these cabs. Anyone out there using this combination?
No, but I have used a B410he on a couple road gigs in the past. Not a bad cab for a budget cab. I like the SVT 410he better, though.
If I was to get one it would be the SVT series. I was just wondering cause I know that a sealed cab doesn't have the throw of ported cabs and have always heard that tube amps like sealed cabs better. I'm still very happy with my SVT 212AV cab. This just got my curiosity up.
I disagree about sealed cabs, bro. Mine have plenty of throw. And tube amps really don't care what you plug into them. I know lots of folks happy with their SVT's and ported cabs.
Ok you got me there Jimmy I misstated that. I should have said I've always heard that ported cabs have more throw than sealed cabs.
