My Aunt used to drink this like it was the only beer on earth. I wasn't aware it was still around as I haven't seen it in 20 years. I may have to make a trip northward to grab some.
When?
If you find yourself passing thru Western NY on you're way back to Seattle, stop by for a cold one. I promise it won't be one of the 36 beers on the list.
We have a nice microbrewery two miles from my house that has something for everyone.
Probably going to leave in September sometime. We'll be taking I-80 through New York. Are you near I-80?
I don't mind anything from that list of 36, but I think we should have Yuengling.

I-80 doesn't run thru NY, I-90 does. If you're taking 90 I'm 15 minutes from it.
Yuengling is fine with me.
Oh duh, I forgot we transitioned to I-90 outside Cleveland. So yes, I'll try and make it happen.
Our goal on the first day of driving is to leave Sunapee and get to Cleveland, so I have to believe there will be some time in there to stop and meet the man, the myth, the legend, Mike N!!!!

well, carling o'keefe was bought out by molson, who kept the brand around for a while, then sold it to the brick brewing company. It's still around, but as far as I know only sold in Ontario. It used to be my go-to summer beer, but now that I have better things to drink, I haven't seen it in a while. Maybe I'll pick up a 12-pack sometime soon.
A good example of this is Foster's. The people I've talked to from Australia consider it several notches below Emu piss when it comes to beverages.
Oh, and 22/36 for me.
Looking forward to it. Cleveland is not quite 4 hours from me. Not sure how far it is from Sunapee to Rochester but it should be do-able in a day.
or heineken and stella artois, or guinness - granted, I don't dislike any of them, but there are definitely local beers I'd prefer over them. Of course, to each their own, beer is beer and to be honest, we waste more time talking about it that we could be spending drinking it

Meh... that article was written by a lazy hipster for the benefit of other hipsters. It seems pretty apparent to me that the author simply went to his local grocery store and assigned a random "witty" (in his mind) comment to every mass-produced beer he could find. It's also obvious that he's never even tried to choke down a Beer 30.
