I had my fair share of these when I lived in Missouri.

Alright smarty pants, let's see your 36 Cheap Canadian Beers, Ranked list. Get going!!

-Mike

Alexander Keiths, Sleeman, Boréale and many others just whoop your cheap american beers.

And because of the laws here (there's a minimum price on beer) we can all get them at pretty much the same price (sales, costco, etc.) 23.85$ +recycling fee for a 24 is the minimum price I think. 12 packs are 12-14$ or so.

You're missing the point. These are the 36 WORST beers in the US - "...from worst to least-worst" - not the 36 BEST cheap beers. If you want to out-do the list, some up with something even more crappy than Keystone.

I'm not even sure I can name 36 canadian beers that are not microbrews. Let's try

Rickards: White, Red, Dark, Blonde, Shandy, Cartigan, Oakhouse.
Alexander Keiths: IPA (not an IPA), Red, Dark ale.
Boréale: IPA, White, Blonde, Red.
Belle Gueule: Pilsner, Blonde, Red.
McAuslan: Griffon blonde, Griffon rousse, Scotch Ale, St-Ambroise Stout, St-Ambroise abricot, St-Ambroise framboise, St-Ambroise citrouille.
Sleeman: Honey brown, Cream ale, Original, Red, Light, Clear.
Moosehead: Dry, Light, Lager, Premium Dry, Alpine, Alpine light.

There you go, 36 and I didn't even name a molson. (Well Molson-Coors owns Rickards, but shh.)

Why drink swill when you can get ok beer at the same price? :p

#34. Genny Cream Ale is great stuff.

#33. Rolling Rock- tasted better when it was brewed in Latrobe PA versus St. Louis where it is now. Ironic that RR came in at #33, they have the #33 in quotations on the back of the bottle. I speculate that they chose that number since there are 33 words in their slogan and 33 was the year prohibition was abolished.

I guess that would all depend on what ones point is in drinking beer.

Is it to get a buzz? Is it for the taste? Is it for some other undisclosed purpose? Its up to the drinker.

I drink beer both for the taste and to get a buzz. Drinking two heavy dark beers will satisfy both of my reasons; give me a sufficient buzz and taste great at the same time.
It would take me at least 6 pack to get the same buzz drinking Miller HighLife, Rolling Rock, or PBR.

So my $8 6pack of Black Butte Porter goes a much longer distance in fulfilling my needs than an $8 12pack of an acceptable cheap beer.

I like to drink beer for hours and not be completely blasted, so I drink Bud or Miller Lite so I can do just that. It's a social thing. My stupid ex would hit the liquor as soon as the sun set and would be falling all over the place in no time while I'd still be drinking at 2:00 AM and conversing with people and having fun. If I want to get drunk fast, I keep a bottle of Black Velvet in the cabinet for that.

Anyway, I'm not the type of person that can eat cake all the time, so I just eat wonderbread. ;)

Over here there is a big price difference between cheap and good beer.

The minimum price makes cheap beer just a little less expensive than ok beers. The same price if you consider sales.

However the difference between cheap and good is still present. Most of the beers I buy are around 4-5$ for a 500mL or 3$ for a 341mL. I pay up to 15-18$ a 750mL for certain specific beers (McKroken Flower aged in Oak casks and the Dominus Vobiscum Hibernus are two of those).

I dont like cake. Nor wonderbread. I do love a freshly baked loaf of sourdough, though.
