Have a question for you guys who have owned different versions of the wonderlove. I own the silver box version with the single switch and the purple version with orange font. I've had both for a while. I use the newer version, but recently have been trying to dial in the resonance and haven't been really happy, so I started doing a little research.
A lot of people on TB prefer the original silver box version it seems, but when I use mine it sounds more tame compared to the purple version, even when I try to set everything sounding the same. The purple version seems to get more wet and still have the same amount of lows as the OG version.Also the sensitivity doesn't seem to do much on the og version. Fore example I have the purple version set to a about 9:30 where I play lightly and it barely starts to open up, but the sweep is a lot more wide. The OG version I have set to almost 3:00 and where it barley opens, but the sweep doesn't seem as wide. I was wondering maybe my OG version is defective?
Also what do you guys like about the silver version better?

The very first run of MKI models had some tracking issues that Spencer has confirmed. I have a Tim-tuned version from the second run of MKI models and it tracks wonderfully. I believe MKII was the same as what I have but with the option to switch between regular and Tim modes. MKIII is obviously the current incarnation which has a lot of differences.
Hey y'alls, just throwing it out there I'm looking for an MKIII and a Doom 2 as well, I know there's a few of us
So I will say, I follow 3leaf on Reverb, and the ones I wound up getting never popped up in my feed. I had to continually search 3leaf. I got my Doom new from a dealer in Seattle and then I got the cheapest MKIII I had seen to date. Just a heads up as to what I had to do.

sweet thx. Ya I guess I'm just really on the lookout for the MKIII cuz the Doom 2 is on pre-order on the dealer's sites. I have to imagine that he'll do another run of MKIII's at some point though, so I'm not really too worried about it
I've long been a champion for the Chromatron as my favorite (and hence the best) envelope...and then I got a Proton v5!!!
All I can say is kudos to the v5 Proton. It is everything I love about the chromatron without all the stuff I didn’t really need from the chromatron. I am easily able to dial in my favorite up and down sweep settings...in fact, it is an easier switch on the proton due to the fewer controls.
These are my settings on the chromatron and what they translated to pretty much exactly on the Proton.
The proton is definitely going to be dethroning the chromatron on my main board due to the compact size.
