Yeah, fastest Ive ever recieved something from the states!
I'm not so sure that the scratches aren't intended/ a result of the finishing process. On yours, the visible scratches have the same quality as the freckle-y dots that can be seen under the oct vol knob and by the tone knob, and I can't imagine that those were caused accidentally. On the others whose photos I've seen, there are scratches in places that simply don't make sense for them to have happened accidentally-- like between the volume and bass knob on the Doom 2, with the scratches seeming to be under the silkscreen.So there’s some scratchesThat’s the finish. Chances are all these enclosures where banging around at one point or another. I'm sure spencer uses nylon drivers to install the knobs/switches, so its probably not his doing. Those marks look like something had rubbed up against over and over, probably in transit from one local to the next. From what I understand there's multiple locations these parts travel to for assembly.
I get that his pedals are scarce and that looks don’t matter to some folks but in any other instance I’d be annoyed if I bought a brand new item from someone and it showed up with scratches.
How quickly would you fire off an email to your sweetwater rep if something showed up damaged?
That said, I’m glad Spencer’s back to producing things, that folks are able to order from him again, and that there’s improved communication.

For those who doesn’t like the finish of their new pedals I am willing to trade my Octabvre Mki with Tim mod LOL. Seriously I am willing to trade my Octabvre for any other 3Leaf pedal in compact format to save some space on my pedal board or for Wonderlove cause I’ve realized I don’t need octave pedal really with my Dingwall 5 string. Hit me up with offers if anyone is interested.

Yeah, I think those scratches happened while he built the pedals—a stray screwdriver bit/point or piece of wire/metal on his bench.
I’m not sure whether I prefer the new finish, which looks awesome on MKIII, to the older black finish. Both look great, honestly.
Can't help myself, although I just got a Doom 2, I just found a MK1 for an absolute steal, hahaha!!!!
Got mine a couple of days ago! I'm pretty disappointed with the finish though. It would look fine if it didn't show a fingerprint every place you touch it. Wiping it with a clean cloth is what turned the sides dark, so it's not even hand oils. Obviously I'm really happy I finally got my hands on one of these, but this isn't a great look.
It is a really cool finish but a simple clear coat would have made it amazing. The unique color and patterns are really awesome, but it is not very user friendly. Sounds great though and I didn't have to pay $700 for one without any letters.
