4x10 and 1x15 combination solution!

Not sure why I never thought of this before when we talk about 410 and 115 cabs being a poor match.

Put the 115 on top and 410 on the bottom. That way the 410 will get more of the lows that need more power to reproduce. It might look a little strange since we're used to seeing the other way around, but some dark fabric under the grilles will hide which cab is on top and vice versa. Problem solved! Can't wait to try it out tonight!
Yes, but then you're still limited in volume and handling by the 15. It really doesn't make sense to me why you'd want to add 115 to an already great 410. Maybe a 212 instead?
 
This doesnt do much about any of the "issues" potentially caused by combining the two. It helps to put the 115 up closer to your head thus making it easier to hear any overpowering issues.

Mechanical overload of drivers (driver overexcursion beyond Xmax) at some content isn't audible anyway. It makes no difference which one of the two cabs (the bottom one or the cab on top) you don't hear to be overloaded

It doesnt address power handling mismatching, comb filtering or dispersion. It wont affect any potential phase issues.
It depends on the cab design and loaded driver if there is lots of power handling mismatch, sometimes the dfference is less than the cab specs might give reason to expect.

Plenty of comb filtering does already happen with the 410 cabinet as a stand alone cab.

i d'prefer a 8x10" way over a 15/4X14"" cab, to me the 15er are low-mid killer and this is where the coloratura of the P & L-Bergers is singing best. Years ago i had a Trace Elliot 350 with the 15/10" combo and i never liked it, a 4x14" stand alone is doing a better job imo.

So (consequently) do you really mean that 215 cabs are gnereally limited by the handling of ONE of its loaded drivers?
No. Only in context of 4 speskers vs 1 speaker.

e.g., 1000w amp
4 speakers get 500w=125w per spkr.
1 speaker gets 500w=500 per speaker

When the 1 speaker begins to fart out, you're done.
