I screwed the neck and body together and put some strings on it to make sure the pick up was where it needed to be before I drilled the mounting holes. I brought it up to tuned tension to see if the neck was stable...I relieved the tension and moved the truss rod a quarter turn in either direction and brought it up to tune each time to make sure the truss rod was working properly..it is, and it plays really well with no buzzes. The frets are very narrow, and do have some wear on them, but I'm not going to do anything with them. As long as the neck stays straight and level, I think it will stay the way it is. I'll decide after it is all done and done what small tweaks will be applied. That nut looks pretty worn down, esp on the G string. Will you have to replace it?
Love this color.2 Very light coats of translucent blonde finish...and.....we wait patiently some more....
I hope it is just the photos but to be honest I find the paint just a bit to covering.
I would only add nitro clearcoat on top to make the surface smooth. Certainly no more layers of blonde.
+1I been in the wings following this. Man I just have to say... Absolutely spectacular. This bass was lucky that you found it.
