Heh. That last one stuck around for something like 4 years. I might just leave the fretless basses as special orders for a little while.
Gard always like to tell me about the "three strikes" that Beaver at Bass Central lives by. Fretless, unlined and 6 strings add up to a 3-strike bass. Don't order 3-strike basses without a large and non-refundable deposit. 
Ooops - I made a mistake yesterday matching top photos to orders. The Quilted Maple order is actually a headless LG5. I have corrected the post from yesterday, but here's the top and a link to the corrected specs...

I don't know which one I'm more excited about. The tops are all so incredible, and most of them have just been sitting in my "reserved" pile in Greensboro for a long time. I'm psyched to be turning them into basses at long last.

Is this for someone or taking a chance as a stock item? The headless Roscoes look pretty darn nice. Could rekindle the "fad" with them.
It's a stock piece. Roscoe has sold a couple/few already as special orders, but I'll be the first US dealer to stock one. I believe Mark (poptart) in the UK has (or had) one in stock recently. It should be really cool, I think doing the carved custom bodies (LG, SKB, Century) will look much more refined than the super small "traveller" body they did a while back.

Ooh, I like. Any chance you can get an updated shot when it's roughly cut out before shaping, or even just laying the template on there now? I can see the pencil marks in spots but would like to see exactly how it fits on the body shape.
I have just been thinking lately that I want to get my hands on a RMLE and there's no question it'll be a Century 5 when I do.

I agree. While the "traveler" was. Oil, I liked how it looked on a full body.
