A New Fender Coronado Bass?????

I've got to wonder if a Mustang neck might fit on the Starcaster bass. Not really digging that headstock, and I'm much more of a rosewood fan.
to be noted that while you can find a Fender Jazz bass made from China to US passing thru Indonesia, Japan, Mexico and Corea, currently the only Coronado you' ll find is made in China. And like it or not China is the only place where lots of other excellent products are made. Starting a company today is different than 50 years ago and some company directly start from there: look at Phil Jones to say one. Therefore it takes a much different approach as well to run an already established company like Fender.
To state that since the bass is made in China it IS an overpriced Squier denotes at least an uninformed pov: just check the beautiful reportages from China factories in the Bass Gear Mag. Made in China does not necessarily mean cheap: not anymore; it just depends on how much you invest in a given product. But also these brief lines only represent my own opinion...

You would think they would have a real demo instead of a bunch of hipsters holding it and saying how awesome it is.
Now what do they do with the other Starcaster name? The low quality guitars they sell in the big box, that rather then naming squier they named Fender Starcasters... People are about to be scammed on ebay very shortly....

They got rid of them and now just offer the Bullet series in it's place.
Both Starcaster and Coronado are 30" scale.

Coronado never was a big mass instrument in the first place (I mean no much appeal to most players); then, some are good some not. I drool over one (so much so that I already paid my reissue in full and it will arrive end of october). But I would never bid in the blind on one...

According to Fender,the new offshore made Coronado and Starcaster guitars and basses are due to be released in October. Will be interesting to see how they are.
