Kinda like making a pseudo 4way cab and claiming god himself has given you this new design that is already on the market elsewhere

moo, let's try to refocus on the topic. Dave never claimed anything like god intervening on his mods/redesign of the AMP/Gibson's.

he has a phenominal product, superb support, and has been extremely helpful here.

It's not like it's his design, it's an old defunct amp with mods and a marketing campaign.

much in the same way a sadowski jazz bass is a repackage of $200 MiM j basses. cmon. You could very easily be decribing 2/3 of hte music buis. let's stick to the topic please.

I didn't know SWR and Eden where out of business!

You seem to know more about my business than I do. A marketing campaign? Have you ever seen an ad for a Thunderfunk bass amp?

And just to set you straight, I never threatened to sue you. This is why you get into so much trouble. You don't listen. You only hear what you think you hear, and what you think you don't know. I was giving you a heads up that you better watch what you say here. This is not a private conversation. You are pretty obviously malicious towards AG, and now towards me. Wishing me to go out of business? That statement is prima facia evidence of malice.

If the switch doesn't work, you've got no problem. If it does work you might have a big problem, and TalkBass as well.

Calling Mark a fraud is another thing altogether, and it's a very strong, and malicious statement. Can you prove it? Have you called Mark for a comment? Did you publish his side of the story? As a matter of law the truth of what you say doesn't matter, but you've been negligent in giving Mark the opportunity to correct your errors BEFORE you print them here. You haven't been reasonable and prudent in checking it out, which is a slam dunk proving malice. Your arguments are all based on hearsay, conjecture, and innuendo.

And then you gleefully admit that this isn't the first time you've libeled someone here? And firing "the guy" that "threatened you" doesn't necessary prove a nexus.

Have a nice life.

If it weren't for Talk Bass, I wonder if there would even an AG controversy. A LOT of manufacturers have made a majority of their sales through self perpetuating threads at TB - many perpetuated by the manufacturers and/or retailers of the product. Look closely how threads are bumped by those who benefit from the exposure. I beleive Accugroove is one of those. Others are Rondo music, Schroeder and a host of others. I'm sure a lot of people have also bought TF amps after hearing about them at TB. Sometimes the mania around these threads is based upon actual educated opinions but a lot of threads are full of regurgitated misinformation and hype stated as fact (as so often happens on the net). If ANY of those companies had a product issue THIS ridiculous without even admission from the company - you can bet that there would be a thread just like this here.

Live by the net and die by the net.

Without Talkbass, small manufacturers like Thunderfunk and Accugroove aren't even on the map. What percentage of sales do either of these companies make to folks that can try befoe they buy? I would be surprised if it was a large one.

I wouldn't be so quick to name drop thread-bump-profiteering. If you look carefully at your claim about people bumping their own threads for corporate benefit, you name Schroeder and Rondo. Very seldom, if ever do Jorg or Kurt (?) ever comment on their own gear on the forum, much less to keep their threads at the top. Not to mention the commercial user rules are pretty tight, much tighter than on most other forums.

Although I do agree that TB can be a good place for a small vendor...

I think that is fair. I retract the self perpetuating thing. It just seems like one thread can fund a business these days. Sometimes vendors bump threads too. I personally, would never buy an amp or cab without trying it first.

Still, if you live by the net - you open the possibility to die by the net.

Are you now also "not threatening" to sue Talkbass? You will lose and will deserve to lose.

More than he can prove the switch works

I could sue you for that kind of slander

Not much of a reader eh? Oh, and you going totally personal without ever even trying to go back to the points brought up about accugroove caught me as a total surprise :D

Yet another factor is that people that buy the majority of their equipment by learning of it at Talk Bass or other on-line forums are, most likely going to sell it at Talk Bass or other on-line forum or site. Therefore, telling other people that they don't like it seldom happens until it's out of their possession.

People are always moving gear through GFS forums after raving about it or defending it as the holy grail weeks prior.

That makes implied threats to sue TB even worse. IMHO.

Or whatever we'll find out he really meant by "If it does work you might have a big problem, and TalkBass as well."
Maybe he meant "If the Accuswitch really does work, and Accugroove decides to sue all those who posted about them on message boards, then you and those message boards might have a problem (as you would be named respondants in the suit)". That is not a thread, its merely a statement of fact based on a hypotehtical scenario. Of course, as I have stated, based on the evidence I have seen, I am not convinced that the AccuSwitch could work.

Nevertheleses, I didnt take that as a threat to sue at all. Merely a statement of why making statements such as some posted in these threads without qualifiying yourself is a bad idea (which it is). Of course, I don't going looking for threats everywhere. ;)

FWIW I have read every post in this thread and have not seen a single "threat to sue" anywhere. I have seen warnings from those who are involved as to why some should be careful. That is not a threat at all - it is good advice which would be well heeded in many cases.

So Accugroove, who he cross promotes and bundles with, suing would not really be suing but something else. Got it, thanks once again :)

By the way, I knew you'd find your way here :)

I've been here since post 12. Of course, you would be well aware of that if you actually read what people posted rather than what you thought they posted.

BTW your post makes no sense and doesn't address anything I said in my post. Not surprising really

Lets try this...please quote me where I said that Accugroove or anyone else suing would not be suing. Again, please, please, try really, really, really hard to focus on what people actually write and not what you want to see.

Come back when you are ready to talk issues rather than make up things and put words into people's mouths.

This is really ridiculous. The first amendment--does anyone actually read that thing?--assures us the right to free speech, and in within that right I can wish all I want. I can wish microsoft out of business, for example, and they can't do a darn thing about it. I can still criticize any politician I want to criticize, as much as I want to criticize him. I can wish that congressman or senator X or Y would fall down a well and be unable to run for ree-election, and no one can stop me. I wish, for example, that the manufacturers of leaf blowers would all go out of business. Can they sue me for libel or defamation becausde I said that, publicly? ridiculous. Free speech--it's a beautiful thing. That being said, i don't wish you or anyone else out of business.

The arguments about this switch are not based on hearesay conjecture or innuendo, they are based on the laws of physics and tests conducted by bass player and by others. You might just as well say it's hearsay and innuendo that water flows downhill. And suppose we find tomorrow that Accugroove has repealed the laws of physics within the space of accugroove cabs, and that inside every accugroove cab perpetual motion machines are at work and lead is being turned into gold. It still would not make the arguments stated here libelous. it would just mean that accugroove was right and moo was wrong. An ad promises miraculous tone, or infinite babes, or whiter teeth, or lose-weight-fast, and people try it and announce it doesn't work. Can they be sued because they didn't lose weight fast? Think about it, and get real

Seriously--do a google search for libel. And nix the dumb lawsuit-mongering.

If any one has any proof of that I'm bunny enough to admit a mistake.

If you sue someone named moo with a bunny for an avatar will children laugh at you?

Mr. Funk, do you have anything that would demonstrate this switch works in the way it is advertised? Anything that doesn't require one to first believe it works?

It's difficult to debate with you when you twist my words. Did I say that I could sue Moooooooo for wishing me out of business? I said that wishing me out of business proves a malicious intent to any falsehood that he might post about me. That's all. Not that hard to understand.

So now we have to do Law 101? The right to freedom of expression is not absolute. In the United States there's no "prior restraint." You can say anything you want. Go ahead. Then you get to stand behind it. Google that. Check Oliver Wendell Holmes' incredibly famous opinion on the 1st Amendment. I guess you never heard that you can't yell fire in a crowded theatre. If you want to be critical, try thinking critically. duh.
