They must have been so good that UL employees risks their careers and stole them all.
You can't trust government science based testing or their employees.
I've may just be guessing, but I think they're going for a "NOS" type approach. They'll be out in 20 years, they'll be "new", but old stock.
Somehow this appeal to authority that they have some bass amp legion designing new old style amps just doesn't seem to actually deliver. I guess we'll eventually see. (Insert picture of skeleton playing bass through a new looking Acoustic Control amp)
