Adam Nitti Signature model- seriously?

Not saying anything bad about Adam Nitti- he is a great player. Not saying Ibanez sucks....but

$7000!!!!!????????

Is someone really going to pay $7000 for an SR shaped 6 string? The Ibanez Grooveline pricing was already absolutely ridiculous but this is really the next level. Is 7k what it takes to get 18mm string spacing from Ibanez? UGHHH

I'm surprised Adam Nitti is okay with Ibanez making a $7000.00 bass, if a company wanted to do a signature model for me I would definitely have a bass that was built really well but affordable for the working musician.
I'm trying to understand if Adam Nitti is thinking that there well be a ton of people buying his bass for $7000, honestly after a year or 2 I bet Ibanez takes it off of there price list and just have a signature model that is more affordable.
Honestly 7K is outrageous, I would spend the 7K towards a Fodera just because of there reputation and resale value or maybe another Zon Legacy Elite VI.

Ibanez is a huge successful company. They know full well that the demand for a $7k six string is extremely limited.

Good point Nobody, I should have thought to search if it had been a thread already. Note to self.
It was just a knee jerk reaction. I wanted to pay about $2000 like dr. cheese said... its everything I want to Ibanez to do minus the fanzy quilt for 4 times the price.
