If you can find an old Fury bass out of Saskatoon, they were amazing basses.
Saw The Steadies last year. It's Earl Pereira, (aka Capt. Dingwall) who was the bassist in Wide Mouth Mason. Fantastic player and super fun band.
Also, let's not forget Ken ‘Spider’ Sinnaeve of Streetheart (now Loverboy) who would probably and arguably be voted best Canadian Rock Bassist if it weren't for Geddy Lee...

Not specifically bass related but Canadian related. The two Yamamoto guitars I own have a Manzer Wedge™. Linda Manzer makes the finest guitars in Canada.
Congratulations! and bravo to the warm welcome from the Canadian commenters on the first page! (I’m catching up, and hope that continues.)I’m now a certified Canadian citizen!
Umm Saxon…? Helllooo? Killer Dwarfs?Voivod, Sacrifice, Annihilator, and Razor are the "Big Four of Canadian Thrash Metal". I'm not Canadian, but I thought I'd bring these bands up.
If rock tinged with country and bluegrass interests you, Blue Rodeo could be up your alley. Bazil Donovan lays down a solid foundation with tasty breaks:
Lol Halifax has the exact same climate as Boston, and typically the same weather a day later, depending on the Gulf Stream wind speeds. Is Boston warmer than Wisconsin? If only Canada had a location with a climate warmer than Wisconsin!
I’m really not a fan of acoustic guitars but those Larrivée are sooooo awesome sound wise and in terms of quality of construction.
Gonna have to double check your geography here. If "Halifax has the same climate as Boston" then Boston has the same climate as Washington DC, which it's about equidistant from.Lol Halifax has the exact same climate as Boston, and typically the same weather a day later, depending on the Gulf Stream wind speeds. Halifax although beautiful, has awful winter weather and crazy snowstorms! I too would be surprised if Boston weather is similar to it.Gonna have to double check your geography here. But that's not how it works. Halifax averages around 10 degrees F colder each month than Boston.
Halifax isn't quite Wisconsin-esque, but it's closer to that than it is Boston.
I like Larrivée. I have an LV-05E and flame koa parlour models
