Hi all, I have posted this before but perhaps this is the best spot...I am based in the UK & purchased a lovely Travis Bean TB2000, serial # 391, in November 21 from a seller in Portland area, USA. Unfortunately it is missing in the (USPS) post. I believe it may have never left the Portland / Seattle area. It is in natural Koa & has distinctive & unique markings, so very easy to spot / identify if it shows up, which I sincerely hope it will ! In case anyone sees it or hears of it, I would be supremely grateful for any info. Thanks, Chris

Aluminum Neck Club

Surprised to find an aluminum neck club here on TB. I know there are a few TB enthusiasts but I'm glad to see EGC, Alef, RGI, TTTides, etc. getting some love and recognition.
Here's my Series 2, probably my #1 bass. It just does everything I ask it to and more.
I know more than some have had their issues with them in the past but let me say, when EGC nails it, they nail it. I've even come to like the one mistake they made with this bass - you can see from the photo the 12th fret dots are out of alignment with each other.

Is that a mistake? I've seen a number of basses from other brands with a similar layout at 12 and 24.
Here's two photos showing what I mean close up. Again, I got over it almost immediately, just cause the thing sounds and looks so dang good. The dot closest to the top of the neck (nearest the low E) is the one off kilter.
@cataract could you post this online? It seems like you have a pretty far reach in the aluminum club
"Mix and match" features were a pretty normal occurrence over at the Neptune, NJ factory...

I've never seen a white one ( my XL-4 was metallic blue / "blurple")
I like the bolt on neck I own, but it took some time to get a good one. The first neck I received had a milling error that made the first few frets buzz to the point it wasn’t playable on the thinner strings.
It’s just the way it is sometimes when working with metal, they replaced the neck for me and after a couple months I had a nicer one with no playability issues and all is well

my story with a neck "mistake" turned out great in the end. EGC put some big, heavy, Schaller tuning machines on my series 2 instead of the lightweight Gotoh's that I was invoiced for. They ended up remaking the whole neck and now the bass is fantastic. They don't have a great history with lead times on orders but if something goes wrong they will definitely make it right. I don't have official confirmation, but I'm pretty sure my old neck is what they used when they put together a bass from what they had laying around for Brian Cook when all of Russian circles gear got stolen a little while back.

If I wasn't currently waiting on an anodized neck from Aluminati... I'd be all over it.
Aluminati P build arrived this morning— it’s getting new strings & a black Badass II bridge, but as is sounds like a friggin’ chainsaw! Feels great, too!
Traded my G&L for this bass last week. It’ll be worth the wait! I think the new ones come with Hipshot keys installedOoh... Did you order the neck or was this secondhand?

Correct! They’re pretty nice. Part of me wishes they were Hipshots though, just because I’m more used to regular non-locking keys, haha. But no complaints! They do the trick pretty well.
after I sort a couple things out I planning to commission a grabber/ripper style body and put an Aluminati neck on it.
That’s gonna be awesome! I’m thinking of maybe doing the same thing.. decibel_sound_implements on Instagram’s making some awesome looking Ripper/Grabber builds, I need to hit them up for a body quote!
