Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Great sounds as always @Starthief !

You seem made for the Lyra @uglybassplayer -- I vote keep it and make music.

@monsterthompson -- totally agree. I'm doing all my Jamuary work standing up or on a stool at a standing desk.

Yesterday was "off" as I spent about 8 hours remixing drums with my wife. The good news is we now have mixes that we're basically happy with. We will sit with them for a few days and then I'll fake master them and send to a few friends to test out on their systems. There's also one track we're on the fence about putting on the record. We like the music but the performance isn't the best.

For today, I went back down the Radigue rabbit hole, as I've been reading up on pole mixing to achieve the filter effect I was getting from the Filter 8's Band Boost + Notch output. My goal is to be able to fade between different harmonics, which means more filters. Beads is making some noise too. Not totally sure about that yet.

Here are this weekend's and today's jams:

My new album called 136199:
I use CIJ fretless jazz bass with Rat + DBA Fuzz War combo and some reverb and delay in feedback loop.

Catching up on stuff I haven't had a chance to listen to yet, and you guys are killing it.

@Vunz I absolutely love the different vibe you're bringing with the double bass. Coincidentally, have you posted videos on YouTube of your jams with the double bass and Cosmos? Because I think it was you and it was one of those videos that really made me start jonesing for a Cosmos.

Thanx, @lucas303! It is so much fun exploring the sonic possibilities of the Cosmos. But no, I haven’t posted anything on YouTube (yet).

I got a Count to Five in the sale there.
I'm finding not being able to change tempo frustrating for any real world use. I'd love to be able to sync it and use it for drums.
I have been enjoying it though. Mostly just this kind of thing so far.
Video also features new OC-5 and Dreadbox Kinematic:

Do you have a non-Instagram link?

Today's quick one -- the front half of the week is brutal for me. Guitar wasn't coming into the interface for some reason so instead of troubleshooting, I just recorded into Voice Memos on iPad. C'est la vie.

Technical issues aside, this is another good one!

Ha ha sorry, man
I took a break from social media a while back and used Tik Tok to post music videos. I'd a new album out.
I figured I wouldn't get sucked in because it's so gross.
It worked.

I hear ya. I'm just very very anti-social media.
