Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

New video from my band. Song starts with my bass being run through a sequenced little thing from the Empress Zoia and SY200. Basically, there is the lower bass synth sound from the SY200 which is being heavily tremolod and then there is some random LFO action with an octave up granular mixed in by another sequencer. There are some other field recording samples in there too.

any of you guys know pf a pedal that would act like a pulsating ARP on a synth?
Looking to do some 16th notes at about 180bpm

I can hold it with a pick, but right arm needs a few weeks rest from practicing this so much. It has so much string skipping and needs to be very sharp/tight.
I dont want to have long term damage on my arm

Yes, I definitely would use this as a « cheat ». :)
The older I get, the more the body crumbles.

(uses dolorian to go kick my own 20 yo self’s ass to learn pick playing instead of being an idiot jazz funk whatever snob)

The Eventide Harpeggiator algo on the H9/H90 will do this. It sounds synthy though since it's a pitch shifter.
Will definitely look up all of those suggestions

@JES
Musicking??
help me out here :)

edit, just looked it up.

I’ve watched it and I still don’t know what my opinion about it is??
Are the algorithms in the tree trunk in there permanently….can you add some/edit some??

Haven’t made it all the way through yet, but I recall that the sound library/settings aren’t editable by users, and midi is only for clocking do you can’t use it as a sound engine unless you play using the controls on the unit.

I like the idea, but understand how it’s not going to be universally appreciated.
