Yeah, that's pretty much my take.i have friends who love dylan. his voice is hard for me and i’m not a lyrics guy.
it would be my loss if i cared.
(i do understand how important he is.)
is it everything you hoped for? Everything you dreamed?
yes, midi/mpe. linnstrument 128. pressure sensitive. pitch array sort of set up like a bass.
literally took it out if the box in the last hour.
seems like it’s got some possibilities that i’ll like.
I just noticed my (unintentionally) color coordinated 2020 purchases 
Now this sucks. He was a big influence on my early ambient journeys.

Still don’t love jinjer... even though theoretically I should as they tick all the boxes about metal that I like they just don’t seem amazing... would prefer old system of a down where even though it’s some pretty crazy metal at times they just bridge the clean / metal better / more accessible? I know that seems hypocritical from a DEP fan!

yeah. it’ll be a bit of a learning curve for me. (nothing like the octatrack, etc., thank goodness.)

Anyone doing anything ambient with an upright? I just managed to acquire my first ever DB in a trade.
I think I did something once or twice on the upright, and it was fun, but I can't remember what it was. Good for making samples, too.
I used to have an upright. It was cool, definitely helped with the ladies in college when I'd bust that thing out...but I was never able to do anything remotely ambient with mine, but that was never my intention.
not me personally. i haven't played upright seriously for a while. i did do a more groove-oriented track on upright recently.
i feel like i've heard something that veered ambient on upright, but can't remember who/what. probably one of the bands on hubro or runegramaphone.
