Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

I did that, I've spent the last 3 hours deleting presets. I can't believe you can't delete a patch on the synth itself, it's as though they designed everything else so well and just forgot this.

Yeah, I couldn't get the Particle to update before so they sent me some bootloader. The bootloader installed, but then it froze up on the update. Thankfully, it's not a pedal I use a lot, but it still sucks, as I have barely had it.
you can initialize a patch and write over it. probably go to name and initialize that.

you could also go to an empty patch, hit save and scroll to the one you want to overwrite.

I get it. It's more about having blank spaces to store stuff. It's a pretty common use case to want to clear out a few patches to create some play space.
Well, it's also that I still do play presets, and it's just less stuff to go through when I get rid of most of the stuff I'll never use, like DX pianos and crappy, obnoxious EDM patches. Although I will say, there were a lot less of the obnoxious EDM presets on this synth than most of the other ones I've had.

Narrowed down my solo bass thing to few "best" takes.
Listened back a few times. Still not confident enough.

One of my buddies is gonna do a test listen if it can stand as whole "album".
Had over 2h of recordings. Narrowed down to about 30mins ...can maybe trim down a little more.
May ask another buddy for a test listen.....?

At least I went forward with it. Worked hard and was very difficult listening/playing/reacting creative approach.
Lot's of failed takes.
It is definitely not in the same "esthetic" as my synth stuff.

Even if I never release it, was a very good learning experience.
Especially the DJ Grandmaster Flash idea I got to cue up what went into the looper to build the tracks.

Cheers

That cork-sniffing moment when you think - this white noise generator module sounds better than the white noise my other synth makes.

Still working on something ambient and evolving. I’m getting there with Reaktor+Ableton+Erica. It’s been lots of RTFM and experimenting. I’ve been toying with non ambient stuff as well. Hoping to be ready to produce something by January.

Rewired my board this weekend, made a few changes but this makes things way more flexible for swapping stuff in and out. I'm really psyched, this project has been in the back of my mind for a while and I had a lot of things I needed to fix.

next big project is reprogramming my ES-8 to count for the changes I made and to also build out a bunch more presets and functionality. Progress is progress though...

where is @ugly_bassplayer and his “mother of god” meme when you need him?
