Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Ya know, recently, even though my Aeros looper's last in line, I threw a Ditto in first. Lets me loop a drone or chord and then I can just go into tweaker mode and have that be the compositional/performance aspect of it.

yep. done that as well.

my main problem with having the looper before everything is that you're married to the effects you have after it, cause i think the looper is dependent on the effects in it.

Cool, but in a real life situation with it on the floor (to make the loop in the first place), you'd be hunched over punching buttons all the time to do something like this. Wouldn't work for me.

noted and my caveat as well. many of the early complaints about this are due to the lack of midi control, which would alleviate some of that. if you're doing it with synths on a table, it's less problematic . . .

that being said, i spend half time hunched over pedals anyway, so not a big difference, perhaps.

I'll take middle. After the Elements, preamp, and H9, before another looper and a reverb.

works for me.

i've done elements x3, count to five, noise manglers, volume pedal, stereo time-based effects, panning pedal, boomerang, stereo delay, ditto x2 . . .

Nice yoga pose, there. What's it called?
And OMFG DID YOU PUT STICKERS ON YOUR FODERA

One question...why all the same angel tarot sticker?
Good idea for the Allen keys anyways. :)
If you don’t want to answer I get it.
One of my instruments is literally carved with a screwdriver\knife all over the back by me and some close friends.
I don’t even want the luthiers to take a look.
I could « maybe » share by PM but no way in the thread or on social media.

the first two i got at a sanctuary at chimayo, new mexico, made an impression.

i'm not *religious*, but i like the idea of having an angel de la guarda sticker on my basses. they don't make them anymore, so i'm sol for any basses to follow . . .

funny story: when i got my first fodera (and second, too), i put a godzilla, king of the monsters sticker over the butterfly. about a year later i stopped at the shop on the way to a european tour. i told them that i had done something to the bass that they might not like. they asked if i painted it black. i told them no. when they saw the godzilla sticker they cracked up pretty well. luckily, they don't hate me for my foibles.
